getting started
With a focus on kitchens, baths and living spaces, I create fresh and contemporary residential spaces that look great, function beautifully and reflect who you are and how you live – now and for the long-term.
The first (and most important) step towards achieving this is to get to know you, your lifestyle, what you like and how you plan to use your space.
From there I’ll use my extensive knowledge of design principles, understanding of the latest trends and expert instinct to design a space that checks every box when it comes to both form and function.
in-home design consultation
Whether you’re planning a large project or seeking a smaller dose of designer input, this two-hour session is the place to start.
For larger projects, we will discuss the project scope and goals in detail, work through options and ideas, and establish a high-level budget and timeframe. There will also be plenty of time to ask any questions you might have.
In the week following our meeting, I will send you a summary of my notes along with a proposal outlining my services tailored to your project’s specific needs.

Depending on the scope of your project, I will draw on the services of my network of architects, engineers and other construction experts to prepare the necessary technical drawings required for building permit applications.

I will partner closely with the project architect to review your current space and to develop custom AutoCAD plan drawings that bring your wish list, lifestyle and preferences together in an incredible design concept.
If your project is a new build, the best time to start working with me is during the planning phase.
I’m happy to partner closely with you and your architect to provide high level feedback after reviewing blueprints and technical drawings.
Once the building plans have been finalized, I’m ready to start designing the interior spaces and finishing details to create beautiful spaces for you.

So how do we bring these new designs to life? This is where great people and great processes make all the difference!
I work hand-in-hand with a trusted network of amazing, qualified contractors and trades who consistently get rave reviews from clients (although if you already have a contractor who you would prefer to work with, I’m happy to partner with them too.)
The contractor and I work together during the design stage to ensure an accurate scope of work and construction budget. We set out the construction start date and timing so that you know when to be ready and what to expect. Once construction begins, the contractor is responsible for managing the job site and the scheduling of the trades. I take on a supporting role to ensure that the materials and fixtures we’ve selected are on site and available as per our project plan. Great communication is key, and I’m available to you and the contractor to answer questions, troubleshoot and coordinate additional items as needed.
Through every step of the process, you can count on me to be organized, on-time and on-budget. As part of this commitment, I create a binder for each project, which includes the plans, specifications and design details for your project. This binder is the contractor’s reference guide for the construction phase and is yours to keep once the project is complete.
